WPU Singers

The William Peace University Singers are a musical staple of William Peace University and have performed across the Triangle in a variety of showcases.

noneFormerly led by Julie E. Ricciardi, Vice President for the Office of Engagement, the troupe is now led by Matt Hodge, M.F.A., Assistant Professor of Theatre/Musical Theatre, and represents some of the best and brightest students from a variety of majors and areas of study. Their experience and repertoire varies, many of whom have never before sung in in an ensemble.

Formed in the fall of 2011, the WPU Singers act as ambassadors to the community, performing both sacred and secular music ranging from Pop, Contemporary, Christian, Gos[pel, Jazz, Country, Blues, Swing, Classical, Broadway and more.

The troupe performs throughout the state and the region, most recently at the 2013 North Carolina State Governor’s Ball, annual performances at the Wake County First Responders Appreciation Breakfast, the LGBT Center Awards Gala, the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Women’s Luncheons, the Heritage Calendar Gala, the 2013 Wake County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony, and they often appear at retirement centers, churches, schools and for retail openings.

The University's glee club's is made up of some of the best and brightest students from across all majors.
