Simulation And Game Design
Did your parents say playing video games was not a career? Did you zone out right after they said it? Well, you might not have heard the next sentence: designing and developing simulation and video games is a career.
Simulation and Gaming Design majors are provided with the necessary tools to master design, 3D modeling and programming used in developing video games and simulation training in the military, healthcare, academic and private industries.
You'll learn everything from, programming to story development, to interface and character and soundtrack design with a focus on the creative and analytical elements of conceptualizing, designing, building and producing for this fast growing Industry. Students develop skills in creative and visual arts, audio and video technology and management.
Students participate in an individual and collaborative learning curriculum and environment modeled after real game studios. Emphases on aesthetics, technical skills, audience analysis and development, prepare each student to be the serious gamer the industry values. There are currently more than 30 simulation and game companies in the Triangle area alone.
