National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) Rankings

The National Survey of Engagement, better known as NSSE, conducts surveys of first-year and senior students at four-year colleges and universities that focus on student engagement and participation in programs and activities, measured against their peer institutions.

Over the past many years, evaluations by students have continuously placed William Peace University among the top 10% nationally in: student-faculty interaction, supportive campus environment and enriching educational experiences. WPU seniors' evaluations also placed the university highly within the two remaining categories: level of academic challenge and active and collaborative learning.

With small classes, no teaching assistants and desirable outcomes (over 90% of graduates are placed in a job or graduate school within a year of graduation), the consistent high marks support the value of a William Peace University education.

NSSE provided William Peace University with data that allows comparisons to students' responses at other liberal arts colleges and all other colleges and universities that took part in the survey. Those data demonstrated that WPU seniors rated their experiences in all five categories higher than did students at other liberal arts colleges and coeducational colleges that took part in the survey.

Survey results for 2013 can be found here.
