Honors Information
Latin Honors Recipients
Latin Honors will be conferred on graduating seniors whose cumulative grade point averages meet the following criteria:
- 3.90 (Summa Cum Laude)
- 3.75 (Magna Cum Laude)
- 3.6 (Cum Laude)
* A transfer student must earn a minimum of 60 semester credit hours at William Peace University to be eligible for Latin Honors.
* Any student who is participating in Commencement but lacks seven or fewer credits is not eligible for Latin Honors recognition in the program or during the ceremony. However, it will be printed on your diploma.
Latin Honors recipients will receive a cord from the Office of Academic Affairs, which they will wear throughout Commencement weekend.
Latin Honors will be noted in the Commencement Program.
Latin Honors will be noted on the diploma.
Members of Honor Societies
Students who are members of disciplinary honor societies should wear the pins or cords they receive as part of their induction into the honor society.
Graduating students of Alpha Chi National Honor Scholarship Society will be noted in the Commencement Program.
Participants in Honors Program
Students who have taken courses in the University's Honors Program do not receive cords, stoles, or other items during graduation weekend.
Graduating students from the Honors Program will be noted in the Commencement Program
