Psychology

  • Overview

Learning the methodology and principles of psychology, students are able to examine the behavior, thought, feelings and interactions of humans.

As a Psychology major at William Peace University, you will learn about the inner workings of the brain as well as personality, perception, thinking and social interaction. This knowledge is an asset in virtually any field, from medicine to business to law. In WPU’s Psychology degree program, you will work closely with professors in small class sizes where you will be challenged to hone your critical thinking and analytical skills through rigorous coursework. In addition, opportunities for hands-on research will provide valuable real-world experience and will help you develop a truly unique perspective on society. Our curriculum is outcome focused, preparing students for positions in social work, counseling and psychology as well as other non-major specific careers. WPU psychology majors have also gone onto law school and graduate programs in social work, school counseling and sports psychology.
