Home Educated Students
With a small student body and intimate campus, William Peace University offers the perfect transition for home schooled students. WPU boasts a 15:1 student/faculty ratio, allowing our staff to build relationships with students and provide the individualized guidance they can't get at bigger schools.
Stephanie Barnham '10 was homeschooled and felt disconnected when she visited other schools in the Triangle. Instead of a member of a community, she felt like just another number. During her visit at WPU, Barnham met one-on-one with an admissions advisor who made her feel at home.
"They treated me like a valued potential student," Barnham said. "I now think of her as family. She mentored me and encouraged me every step of the way."
Keep in mind, WPU requires all first-year, sophomore, and junior students to live on campus or university-affiliated housing. Students who are married, have dependents, or live with their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) within 30 miles of campus are allowed to stay off campus. On-campus parking is available to all WPU students with a parking permit.
To start your admission process, fill out our online application and schedule a visit today. You'll be able to set up a one-on-one meeting with an admissions advisor and get a feel for the WPU community -- just like Barnham did.
