AB President's Corner

noneSummer/Fall 2016

It's hard to fathom that this will be my final year as William Peace University's Alumni Association Board President. I have been so very blessed with the opportunity to proudly serve my Alma Mater by providing leadership to active and engaged Alumni, while also cultivating and building relationships throughout the year.

I am also thankful for our board's dedication to volunteerism, annual giving, student mentoring, and support of students through attendance at arts and athletic activities, events, games, and matches, both off and on-campus.

Even more so, this year was especially important as we welcomed Dr. Brian C. Ralph as Peace's 11th President, his wife, Kristen, and their three daughters: Abby, Eden, and Izzy. I had the privilege of introducing our new First Family to countless Alumni and friends at special meet and greet events planned by the Office of Advancement, as well as accompany him at many alumni gatherings. I take great pride in welcoming back so many to our beautiful campus, especially during our recent Alumni Weekend in May.

I hope you will make the decision to be a part of our Alma Mater's next era. Dr. Ralph has expressed his own excitement in getting to know even more of our active and eager Alumni base. Those who have stayed connected know the importance of his first year in office and the priorities upon which he plans to focus. We hope you will make it a priority to reconnect with Peace and come meet Dr. Ralph this year.

Now, more than ever, as Alumni we need to stay connected, informed, and involved. And, we need to give to The Loyalty Fund's "Believe in Peace Fund" to support important campus programs, facilities, students, faculty and staff. We are one Peace -- no matter the year we graduated. And, the only way we can accomplish our goals as an institution is together. It's a sincere sentiment I heard from Dr. Ralph.

There is a long legacy of Peace women and a new legacy of Peace men who are joining together to honor our past, but who are also looking to the bright and exciting future of William Peace University.

Please join with me and the other members of the 2016-17 Alumni Board, as we celebrate Dr. Ralph and his family's first year on campus.

With Peace,
