Campus Announcements for Jan. 4, 2010
Happy New Year!
Peace’s presidential search committee has published its Peace College Search Profile, which describes Peace and the qualities being sought in the College’s next president. The profile is available from a button on the College’s home page or at this link: http://www.peace.edu/Presidential_Search.pdf. The profile will be used by Academic Search, Inc., the search firm that is assisting the committee, as it solicits applications for the position.
The Regional Transportation Alliance is asking people to complete a simple, two-question survey that will help transportation partners who are looking to expand transit options in our region. The survey takes less than one minute, and can be reached here http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dFNQNzAyNTREdk0yTnZpM3U2OXp3MUE6MA.
Peace offers a text-messaging system to notify members of the campus community of emergencies or other timely news, such as inclement weather announcements. For weather announcements, this system is used in addition to the Inclement Weather Line messages. You must sign up for the Pacer Alert service to receive the text messages, which are sent to text message-capable cell phones. It’s easy to sign up for the alerts. Go either directly to this page -- http://www.peace.edu/content/page/id/560 -- or to Peace’s home page and click on the button that reads “Safety Alerts at Peace.” Have your cell phone with you and follow the instructions to register your phone with the system.
