Pacers Take Angels
The Peace College (5-7, 2-5 USAS) basketball team rallied in the second half to upset cross-town rival Meredith College (4-7, 3-3 USAS) 76-72 in Sunday's USA South pairing.  Sophomore Pacer Karissa Herring recorded a career-high 33 points to earn the third highest, single game point total in college history and added 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the year.

The Avenging Angels lead by as many as 10 points at the 10-minute mark and maintained the momentum the entire first half.  After the break Peace began to chip away at Meredith's lead.  Herring pushed the Pacers on top with her second three-pointer of the game with just under 15 minutes remaining. Another three from LeAnne Horne gave the Pacers the lead for good with 8:27 to go.

The team goes on the road this week beginning with Salem College Wednesday.  Peace returns to the Hermann Center Wednesday, January 27, for a league game with North Carolina Wesleyan.  See you on the sidelines! Click here for more on the Peace Pacers!
