Tax tables changed
The Human Resources Department would like to advise all employees that the new federal tax tables have been updated in the payroll module effective January 2010. Most employees will notice an increase in their federal tax withholdings. For further information regarding the new tax tables, please visit the IRS website at www.irs.gov. Employees can access the IRS Withholding Calculator to ensure enough income tax is being withheld for 2010. For additional information, please refer to the IRS Publication 919 (How Do I Adjust My Tax Withholding). Individuals who wish to make adjustments to their withholdings may do so by completing a Federal W-4 and returning it to Lauren Holmes in the Human Resources Department.
