What You Can Expect from Tutors

  • That they will be courteous and receptive to your concerns.
  • That they will help you identify academic strengths and weaknesses.
  • That they will share effective study techniques.
  • They will encourage you in your efforts to become a better student.


What You Should Not Expect from Tutors

  • That they can read your mind or your teacher's mind.
  • That they will edit or proofread papers without your active participation.
  • That they can make you receive all A's.


 

Fall 2011 Tutoring Schedule

All tutoring takes place in the Learning Center, 2nd floor Finch, unless otherwise noted.  You may sign up for an appointment in the binder in the Learning Center, or use our walk-in service.  Please email etalley@peace.edu, or stop by our office (Finch 2nd floor) with any questionsJ

 

Tutoring will begin September 12, with the exception of Biology and Chemistry, which begin September 6.

Tutoring Policy


Students should make every effort to attend their scheduled sessions or call the center at 508-2163 preferably 4 hours ahead of time to cancel.  When a student misses a session without canceling, she will be contacted.  After the second no-show, the student will not be allowed to make appointments for a month, but can utilize walk-in times.
