Manning Chamber Music Concert tonight
Peace College will host tonight a Manning Chamber Music Concert, featuring musicians from the North Carolina Symphony. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Kenan Recital Hall. This concert will feature principal strings of the N.C. Symphony and Principal Clarinet Jimmy Gilmore in his farewell appearance in our chamber music series. Admission is free and a reception will follow. Please come enjoy this showcase of musical talent.
 

 

Chamber Singers performing at naturalization ceremony Thursday
The Chamber Singers will be singing the national anthem and “God Bless America” for a U.S. naturalization ceremony at the Federal Courthouse at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. We will leave campus at 10:40 a.m. and should return by 12:10 p.m. Jim Smith is asking that faculty please allow members of the Chamber Singers to leave their 9:30 Thursday classes by 10:35. 
 

 

Study-abroad information session Wednesday evening
Please share with students that Dr. Laura Vick will host an information session on Wednesday regarding our upcoming 2010 Summer Study Abroad Programs. The session will cover details concerning the trip to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico scheduled for July 11 to Aug. 1 and the Hannam University Exchange in Dajeon, South Korea, June 21 to July 9. The information session will be held in Flowe 322 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. All interested students should plan to attend the details on both of these exciting programs!
 

 

New pool hours posted
Following are the pool hours for Spring 2010:

  • Monday – Thursday, 6:30-9 p.m.
  • Monday and Wednesday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday, 12:30-1:45 p.m.
  • Sundays, 7 p.m.-9 p.m.

The pool is closed on Sundays when classes are not in session: March 14 and 21 and April 4.
