Community Comes Together For WHIRLED PEAS and The PURSUIT Of Happiness!
Be sure to circle Thursday, July 29 on your calendar so you can plan on attending the last of our summer potluck luncheons.  We will gather in Main parlor at the stroke of noon as we prepare to sample some of the finest cooking this side of the Blue Ridge Mountains!  And, no, there probably won't be whirled peas for tasting, but who knows - maybe someone out there has a recipe for it.  One thing there will be though, and that's the Peace College version of Trivial Pursuit (and much happiness if you win one of our prizes)!  Drinks (and paper products) will be provided.  Please be sure to bring a serving utensil for your dish.

Pacer Camp Recap
The Class of 2014 was welcomed to campus the past 2 weekends during Pacer Camp 2010, our first-year summer orientation program. 157 new students and approximately 180 family members participated and attended informational sessions on various topics related to transitioning to life at Peace. The new students also went overnight to Camp Chestnut Ridge in Efland, NC with Peace staff members and 14 Orientation Leaders to participate in community building activities and learn about involvement and traditions. Thank you so much to all of the staff and faculty members who helped with the planning, presenting, and academic advising! Our new students are now one step closer to successfully transitioning to college thanks to your efforts. 

Peace Perk open for lunch
Peace Perk is trying out summer lunch and evening hours. Come by for sandwiches and wraps. Peace Perk is open each day 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., then again 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., except for Friday when it's open only for lunch.
