For semester abroad during a fall semester, you need to start the approval process with the International Studies Coordinator by early February of the same year. For semester abroad during a spring semester, you need to start the approval process in early September the semester before the proposed travel.

SUMMER 2005:
Mexican Culture and Civilization
During these captivating three weeks in the Yucatán you will:
• Study ancient Mayan Culture while visiting their historically significant cities and shrines;
• Learn about marine ecology in the Yucatán by exploring mangrove swamps, birding for flamingos and snorkeling on the second largest reef in the world;
• Study the geology, flora and fauna of the Yucatán, then see if for yourself as you walk jungle trails to spot elusive spider and howler monkeys;
• Develop an understanding of contemporary culture in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula by taking trips to small villages and living in historic Merida.
