RALEIGH (Nov. 16, 2007) - The Basketball team opens the season November 16 and 17 as host to the annual Jackie Ammons Memorial Tournament, a two day tournament honoring the memory of former Peace player, Jackie Ammons, with three other women's colleges from the east. Junior point guard Christy Freeman returns for the Pacers as last year's leading scorer at 13.6 points-per-game. Freeman also recorded a team-high 86 assists and 61 steals. Junior forwards Lauren Seeger and Brittany Lynn add excitement to the game, pulling down a combined 326 rebounds last season. Sophomore guard LeAnne Horne joins Freeman as a threat to her opponents on both ends of the court. Check out www.gopeacepacers.org for detailed results.
