Career Counseling & Coaching
Career Services is here to help you in all of your career needs whether that be choosing a major, finding an internship, writing your resume, interviewing, or searching for a job. Make an appointment with Barbara Efird (befird@peace.edu) or Donna Hembrick (dhembrick@peace.edu). We are located in Main 12D and 15.We are available Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you.
Career Assessments
During a counseling appointment, we may suggest for you to take a career assessment that may help you clarify your interests, skills, values and personality. These assessments are free to Peace students. You will need to contact the career center for user IDs and passwords for some of these assessment links:
- Career Lift Off Inventory - http://clii.careerliftoff.com/client
- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator- available by appointment
- Campbell Interest and Skill Inventory - available by appointment
- Major/Minor Finder - available in the career center and by appointment
Courses
Exploring Majors and Careers (ADV 107) is a 1 credit hour course offered each spring. In this course, you will take a variety of career assessments, learn how to explore careers, hear from professionals in various occupations and learn how to make major and career decisions for now and in the future.
Career Center Resources
Books, handouts, computers and other publications are available for your use. Career Information and planning books can be checked out for 2 weeks. Reference books can we checked out for 2 days. Stop by- we are located in Main, Room 14.
