Gina is a transfer student from West Warwick, Rhode Island. When first coming to Peace College, Gina mentioned she felt like she had an advantage by having already experienced a year of college, which made it much easier for her to handle the work. Gina admitted she does have days when she misses home and family, but her advice to transfer students is to get involved on campus. She knows that is what made all the difference and the reason why she can now call Peace College home. Gina finds that the busier she is, the more comfortable she becomes with college life, which makes the transition that much easier.

Ever since Gina transferred to Peace College, her experience has been nothing short of amazing. She has gotten all the support she could imagine from professors, mentors, and fellow students. Gina believes that Peace's faculty is always willing to work with their students no matter the situation. Additionally, the faculty at Peace College genuinely want to see students succeed and are personally invested in each and every student. Gina noted that one of her favorite things about her major is the fact that she will have many of the same professors throughout her college career. Her professors will get to know her personally and academically and are able to push her to grow professionally.

After graduating from college, Gina plans to remain in North Carolina and find a job in business.

"I love Peace because it has given me a chance to do so well in my education and has also brought me close to girls whom I know will always be a part of my life, even after college." - Gina Petrarca, Class of 2010
