Clinton appeared in Belk Dining Hall, taking questions from a crowd of approximately 300 people. Questions touched on topics of higher education costs, Iraq and the crisis in Darfur. She said the biggest issue that will face the next president is the economy.
"We know we have to deal with the economy now," she said. "That will become a truly epidemic crisis for our generation."
Clinton, who is 28 and lives in New York City, lived in the White House for eight years while her father, Bill Clinton, served as president. She has been traveling the country to campaign for her mother. On the day she visited Peace, she also made stops at N.C. State and UNC-Chapel Hill.
After her question-and-answer session, Clinton met briefly with student government leaders.
In the Q and A session, she shared some advice her mother gave her: "Life is not about what happens to you, but what you do with what happens to you."
