Raleigh Ranked No. 1 City for Young People

Raleigh is being recognized throughout the country as one of the best places in the nation to live, work, study, meet new people, and play.

Kiplinger's Finance has placed Raleigh in the No. 2 slot for Best City to Live, Work and Play and Forbes ranked Raleigh as the No. 1 City for Young People.

Raleigh has also ranked high in Top Ten lists in categories such as Best Places to Live (Money Magazine, #4), Top 5 Cities for Young Singles (Kiplinger's Finance), City That Rocks (Esquire Magazine, #4) and Most Educated City (Census Bureau, #2).

Peace College is located near Raleigh's Glenwood South entertainment and shopping district. The College is also just a few blocks away from the state Capitol, the General Assembly, and state offices and museums.

The Research Triangle area enjoys the vitality that comes from being home to more than 100,000 college students. It's also the hub of high-tech, job-producing industries, ensuring a steady stream of opportunities for people building their futures.

The Triangle offers many other diversions and distractions. Every week, theaters, concert halls and clubs showcase national and local talent. The same goes for dining and shopping. And for the sports-crazed, the excitement starts with one name: The ACC. Right in the middle of Tobacco Road, the country's leading teams playing football, soccer, basketball and more can all be found in the Triangle area. There's also professional hockey with the Carolina Hurricanes and two terrific minor league baseball teams with charming stadiums to match.
