The Purpose of this Handbook

This handbook is intended to serve as a guide for students with disabilities and their parents in understanding how to access and utilize the Disability Services Office (DSO) at Peace College.

It describes the services offered to students in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and the Vocational Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as well as policies and procedures necessary for accessing accommodations. It is not intended as a promise or contract to provide specific ADA services or accommodations to any individual.

The Disability Services Handbook is also intended to provide guidelines for faculty and staff with respect to fulfilling the requirements imposed upon the College by applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

The Disability Services Office (DSO) invites all students with disabilities, faculty, and staff who have questions about the accommodations process or support services to contact us for assistance.
