Jeanie Knigin, Smith Barney Vice President,To Speak at Peace College on Thursday
Jeanie Knigin, a first vice president at the investment advisory firm Smith Barney, will speak at Peace College Thursday about the economy and the investment environment. The public is invited to the talk, which begins at 7 p.m. in the college's Kenan Recital Hall. Admission is free.
Knigin is visiting Peace as a Woodrow Wilson Scholar. She has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, providing investment management expertise to individuals, endowments and foundations. Knigin's professional focus centers on asset allocation strategies and evaluation, selection and monitoring of investment management firms. She is a member of the Financial Women's Association of New York, the Women's Economic Roundtable, the Institute for Private Investors, and the International Association of Financial Planners. She has appeared on The Today Show, CNBC, and NBC Nightly News, discussing events in the financial markets.
In addition to her Thursday public talk, Knigin will speak to several classes at Peace during her two-day visit at the college.
