RALEIGH (March 10, 2009) - The Peace College Dance Company will perform its 25th anniversary concert March 26-28, showcasing pieces by professional choreographers and student members of the company.
The three performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Leggett Theatre at Peace College. Tickets are $8 for general admission, $5 for students, seniors and N.C. Dance Alliance members.
The concert will feature pieces by Christal Brown of New York City, local professionals Joan Nicholas-Walker, Chrissy Pressley, Betsy Ward-Hutchinson and Peace College alumnae Amy Yeager and Tildsley Clifford. Two pieces included in the concert were choreographed by company Director Beth Wright, and three other pieces by PCDC student members.
"We're looking forward to this anniversary concert, as it gives us an opportunity to celebrate the contributions local dance professionals have made to the Peace College Dance Company and to the cultural life of our community," Wright said.
