United Way Agency Spotlight – Any and None! by Karen Nolan
I don’t specify a particular agency to receive my donation – I know VERY LITTLE about the nonprofits in this area, so would really not know any specifics to highlight. My volunteer time is spent with my church on the local, regional and national levels which leaves little time for other volunteer work – but I know from past experience how important the United Way is to a community and the organizations that depend on funding from the UW… that’s why I give to it.The deadline to contribute to this year’s campaign is March 20. Contact Shawn Henderson in Financial Aid for more details.

Chaperones sought for Red Rose Ball
We're looking for faculty and staff chaperones for Red Rose Ball! Join the Campus Activities Board for this time honored tradition. The ball will be held Friday, April 3, from 8 p.m. to midnight at The Royal on Hillsborough. Please email Cameron Hill at clhill@peace.edu if you are interested in helping. Each chaperone will help in various areas throughout the night as well as have some time to just enjoy the event. Please indicate if you are interested in helping for the whole dance or for part of the evening (i.e. 8:00pm - 10:00pm or 10:00pm - 12:00am).

Class of 2009 sponsoring brick sale
Graduation is just around the corner and NOW is the time to honor the graduates of the Class of 2009!  One of the ways to honor student achievement is through the Senior Class Gift.  The Class of 2009 will be leaving their mark on campus through personalized bricks in honor of the graduating seniors.  The engraved bricks will be added to the pathway on campus, begun by the Class of 2006 and will showcase student success for years to come.  Why not purchase one to honor your student worker(s), the graduates from your major, the graduating Peer Educators, or any other special senior?   The deadline to participate is has been extended to April 6!  Please be sure to not miss out on this unique opportunity to applaud the Class of 2009!

There are many ways you can support the Senior Class Gift:

1.    With a gift of $50 you can personalize 1 brick to be placed on campus.

2.    With a gift of $80 you can personalize 1 brick and purchase a duplicate brick as a keepsake.

3.    With a gift of any amount you can help the senior class reach their goal.
