Softball, tennis teams end regular seasons today
Both softball and tennis wrap up the regular season today. The softball team’s doubleheader versus Shaw University begins at 2 pm. Join the tennis team at the Ragland Courts for a 4 pm match versus Salem College. Senior tennis player Cynthia Mandese will be recognized just prior to the match. Take a break from the office and come cheer on the Pacers. Both Peace tennis and softball teams completed their respective seasons in fourth place among league members and will compete in the USA South tournaments to be held in Burlington. Pacer softball (9-8) will meet number five Methodist in game three on Friday at 11 am at Springwood Park. The Monarchs swept Peace earlier in the season at Wachovia Athletic Park. Christopher Newport, Shenandoah, and Greensboro finished ahead of the Pacers in the regular season. The Peace tennis team (6-3) meets number five Christopher Newport at 1 pm at the Burlington Tennis Center. Applications being accepted for Mexico trip
The International Studies office is still accepting applications for the Mexico Summer Study abroad program. Dates are: July 3- 24, 2009. Costs: $3,300. Includes: tuition, airfare, all excursions, room and board. Scholarships are available. Location: Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The study will include Mexican Culture and Civilization (Anthropology/ Latin American Studies/Spanish 361- 3 credits and 5 cross cultural points.) Late Night Breakfast volunteers sought
Come out and help with Late Night Breakfast on the last day of class (NOT reading day)! This Peace tradition to give students some time to relax during exams will take place on Wednesday, April 29th from 9 pm to 11 pm. Faculty and staff volunteers should arrive at 8:30 pm in Belk Dining Hall to help serve food and mingle with students. Please email Cameron Hill at clhill@peace.edu if you are interested in helping!
Join Relay for Life team
Join the Peace College Relay for Life Team! This year’s Relay will be held on April 17 from 7 p.m. to noon on Saturday at Halifax Mall. Participants will need to register in advance here. For more information contact Meredith VanVelsor, MJVanVelsor@peace.edu.
Take old phone books to Office Services
If you have old telephone books that you want to get rid of, take them to the mailroom. Student Rhiannon Pittman is collecting them for a class project. There is a bucket set up in the hall as a drop-off point.

Scan Documents using the Copy Machine
Is your area using the scan capabilities offered by our copies machines? Scanning allows users to store documents electronically and send through email as opposed to paper copies. See instructions on the Business Office Intranet under Faculty and Staff Policies for details on how to start using this functionality.
