Archaeology students help unearth ‘stunning find’

Peace College archaeology students recently helped find a rare piece of jewelry during a dig at the North Carolina State Historic Site of Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson on the banks of the Cape Fear River.

The dig was part of the 2011 Peace College Archaeological Field School which runs until June 11. The field school is hosted by professor Vincent Melomo.
