  • February 5, 2015 The Piano Lesson A Celebrating Black History Month Event William Peace Theatre presents August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, The Piano Lesson, directed by Amy White, M.F.A., through special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. In Pittsburgh’s Hill District in 1936, the Charles family battle their surroundings and each other over their shared legacy -- an antique piano. The fourth play of August Wilson’s epic Century Cycle, The Piano Lesson is a stunning and moving drama of family, history, and survival. William Peace University officials announced First-Year Class Council officers at the annual Traditions Dinner on Sept. 10

Sky Nobelzada ’16, was elected as the council’s President and is scheduled to preside over and plan all first-year class activities. She is also responsible for selecting a class advisor and reporting relevant information to the Class Council.

Joining Nobelzada is Alex Jarell ’16, who was elected as vice president. Jarell’s duties include serving as a member of the Class Council, attending meetings, assisting the President and performing presidential duties in Nobelzada’s absence.

Officials also announced the election of Mallory Rogers ’16, as the First-Year Class Council’s secretary and treasurer. Rogers is responsible recording minutes from class meetings and assisting the president and vice president with planning activities. Additionally, she reports to the Student Government Association’s Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for keeping a detailed report of the council’s monetary transactions.
