  • January 12, 2015 Manning Music Series Concert: NC Symphony William Peace University's Manning Music Series presents a FREE Concert featuring musicians from the North Carolina Symphony on the Kenan Hall stage on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. The Manning Music Concert Series is made possible through a gift made by alumna Sara Jo Allen Manning '58 '60 and the Manning Music Series Fund. For the 2014-15 performing arts season, the Manning Series will include 5 free concerts ranging from jazz, classical and contemporary to Broadway performances. William Peace University Names Jerry Nuesell, Ph.D., Dean Of Student And Academic Services

Four-Year Baccalaureate University Promotes Associate Dean Of Academic Services To Lead Student Academic Services Department

 

RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced the promotion of Jerry Nuesell, Ph.D., where he will serve as the university’s dean of student and academic services. Formerly serving as the university’s associate dean of academic services, Dr. Nuesell will be responsible in administering academic advising services, coordinating student recruitment and retention programs, monitoring student records and the student services annual budget, and overseeing the overall effectiveness of student programs. With more than 10 years in higher education, Dr. Nuesell has held positions with The Art Institute of Ohio, The Art Institute of Houston and the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, located in New York City.

 

"Today’s educational environment is very competitive in attracting and retaining students, but I know that William Peace University offers the best value for students who want to learn from a strong academic program that prepares them for life after they graduate," said Dr. Nuesell. "I look forward to assisting them in meeting their needs in my new position."

Nuesell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from New York University, a Masters in educational psychology from Fordham University and a doctorate in educational psychology from the City University of New York, all located in New York City

 

A member of the American Psychological Association, the American Counseling Association and the American College Counseling Association, Nuesell resides in Cary, N.C., with his wife.
