  • August 24, 2015 Steven Stone Comedy & Magic Show William Peace University welcomes comedian, hypnotist and magician, Steven Stone to the Kenan Stage as part of Welcome Week! Steven Stone has performed in front of many audiences, creating an entertaining and unforgettable night filled with fun and laughter. Stone's talent in hypnosis was developed early on, and he's been performing in venues around the world ever since. Stone's is perhaps one of the only shows where audience members are offered the best seats in the house...right on the stage! Students, faculty, staff and season ticket holders are invited to attend.   • September 11, 2015 Dramatic Irony Club Production William Peace University's student-led Dramatic Irony Club presents opens its season on Friday, Sept. 11 and Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015. Dramatic Irony is a club made up of students interested in theatre and musical theatre. Student-led and performed, these productions are brought to the stage with full production, direction, and leadership by William Peace University students, alongside their advisor Dr. Wade Newhouse.   • September 12, 2015 Open House Our Office of Admissions would like to invite you and your family to take part in one of our Open House Events. This will give you the opportunity to meet students and faculty, tour our beautiful campus, and learn about the excellent education opportunities available at William Peace University. No matter your level of interest, WPU has something for you! After hanging out with us, be sure to grab the R-Line and visit some of the amazing downtown locations. Stand beside historical figures in the North Carolina Museum of History, watch the Carolina Hurricanes dominate the rink at PNC Arena, or catch your favorite artist in concert at the Raleigh Amphitheater. William Peace University Receives Two 2012 MetroBravo Awards

Local Four-Year Baccalaureate University Recognized By Metro Magazine As A Premier Institution And Campus

RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that the institution received two 2012 MetroBravo Awards from Metro Magazine. The university received a standing ovation, the MetroBravo equivalent of first place, in the Best Private College category, as well as an honorable mention, the MetroBravo equivalent to third place, for Best Campus Building for its Main Building located in the heart of campus. In the latter category, William Peace University tied with the Friendly Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Voted on each year by readers of Metro Magazine, MetroBravo Award results are based on the opinions and perspective of the local community.
