William Peace University is one of the top universities in the country when it comes to internships. According to rankings from U.S. News & News World ReportWPU produces the largest percentage of interns.

WPU curriculum focuses on career preparedness as 100 percent of students graduate with an internship. In addition, nearly 70 percent of William Peace University graduates receive job offers directly through their internship experience, and more than 90 percent of graduates enroll in graduate school or land a job within one year of graduating. In fact, both 2013 and 2014 classes experienced a 97 percent job/graduate school placement rate.

“We are consistently ranked as one of the best universities in not only North Carolina, but the southeast,  said Brian C. Ralph, Ph.D., President of William Peace University. “Our strong internship program has garnered us a No. 1 national ranking, and more than 90 percent of our graduates find jobs or enroll in graduate school after completing their degree at William Peace University. The success of our students is truly our mission, and we want to continue to provide them with a quality education at an affordable price.”

Every 40 hours of onsite work at an internship translates to one credit hour (120 hours = 3 credit hours) and students can earn up to six credit hours through internships. Internships can be paid or unpaid and grades are awarded for each completed internship.

All internships are reviewed by William Peace University faculty to ensure goals and objectives of the position compliment the students’ learning and professional goals.
