“I like that I smile everyday as I drive to work, knowing I have the opportunity to make a positive impact in someone’s life that day. WPU is not just a college campus; WPU is a FAMILY and we all genuinely care about, and support, each other.”
Raised in Raleigh, NC, “Mama Sheri” attended Peace College from 1978-1979. The love she felt for Peace left a permanent place in her heart, so in 1986 she returned to marry her husband, Bennett, in the Dinwiddie Chapel. After raising her four children, she returned to Peace in 2003 to continue her education. During her tenure as an adult student, she served as a student worker, assisting with various administrative tasks. In 2011, she was offered the position of Office Manager for Student Services. In May 2016, Sheri graduated from William Peace University and proudly continues to serve in her University position as a Peace alumna.
Mama Sheri can often be found on campus hugging students or playing with her black Labrador, Layla. Her favorite Raleigh food spot is Irregardless Cafe.
