Clubs, Activities & Recreation At-a-Glance
Athletics are an important part of college life, and Peace is certainly no exception. We compete for championships on and off the field.
WPU is a member of the USA South Athletic Conference of the NCAA Division III, fielding teams in baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s tennis and volleyball.
#WPUStrength: The Pacer Performance Center
Constructed in the spring of 2017, the Pacer Performance Center features Rogue fitness equipment and other free-weight training options for WPU student-athletes and the community as a whole.
Our students truly care about the community. From service projects in the Appalachian Mountains, to assisting in the fight against Cancer, or packing thousands of meals for the homeless and less fortunate – our students get it done.
For example, through a non-profit organization called Team Impact, four-year-old Tucker Jordan, and other kids like him, become a part of something bigger on the WPU campus.
Student Showcase is a conference-style event which showcases our students’ research presentations, performances, poetry readings, debates, cross-disciplinary creative projects, and much more.
Intramural Sports & Athletics Facilities
As a Peace student, you will have access to a full-service CrossFit box, six all-weather Laykold tennis courts, a softball field, an indoor basketball court, weight and fitness rooms, and an intramural court.
Also, take fitness classes like Zumba or yoga with some of our alumni, faculty, and staff.
You can also choose from several intramural sports like flag football, co-ed basketball, kickball, and much more.
