FAQs - Meal Plans

What types of Meal Plans are offered to resident students?
Resident Meal Plans: WPU offers three meal plans to students living on campus. Each plan consists of a weekly meal allowance and PacerPoints.

  • 19 Meals per Week: For those who like three meals a day, this offers you 19 meals per week at Belk Dining Hall: breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday, and brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Plus, you will receive $50 in PacerPoints.
  • 14 Meals per Week: Ideal for those likely to eat 14 meals weekly at Belk Dining Hall. The plan is supplemented with $100 in PacerPoints.
  • 10 Meals per Week: The 10 Meals per Week plan is available to those students who live in Bingham Residence Hall and includes $75 in PacerPoints.

What does weekly meal allowance and PacerPoints mean for Resident Students?
Weekly Meal Allowance: You'll receive a set number of meals (depending on what plan you select from above) each week which you can use to enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner (brunch on weekends) in Belk Dining Hall. Each time you eat in Belk Dining Hall, one meal is subtracted from your weekly meal allowance. Weekly meal allotments begin on Wednesday and end on Tuesday.

PacerPoints: PacerPoints are declining balance dollars that can be used in Peace Perk and Belk Dining Hall. PacerPoints work just like a debit card - make a purchase and the total is subtracted from the balance in your account. Save sales tax on your purchases at Peace Perk whenever PacerPoints are used. Use your PacerPoints in Belk Dining Hall if you run out of meals or to treat a friend. PacerPoints will rollover from the fall to the spring semester, but expire at the end of the spring semester.

What types of Meal Plans are offered to Commuter students?
Commuter Meal Plans: WPU offers two meal plans to students that commute to campus. These plans consist of a semester meal allowance and PacerPoints. Please see the two plans below.

  • 25 Block and $20 PacerPoints: This plan offers any 25 meals at Belk Dining Hall for the semester and $20 in PacerPoints to be used at Peace Perk or to treat a guest to a meal.
  • 50 Block and $40 PacerPoints: This plan offers 50 meals at Belk Dining Hall for the semester and $40 PacerPoints to be used at Peace Perk or to treat a guest to a meal.

What does semester meal allowance and PacerPoints mean to commuter students?
Semester Meal Allowance: You'll receive a set number of meals each semester which you can use to enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner (brunch and dinner on weekends) in Belk Dining Hall. Each time you eat in Belk Dining Hall, one meal is subtracted from your semester meal allowance. These meals must be used in the semester in which they are purchased.

PacerPoints will rollover from the fall to the spring semester but expires at the end of the spring semester.
