Pacer Camp is a two-day, (over-night) orientation program over the summer and is mandatory for all incoming first-year Peace students (yes, that means you spend the night on campus!). The event is a broad and diverse program to familiarize our new students with the Peace community. This year's camps run from Friday-Saturday, June 20-21, Monday-Tuesday, June 23-24, and Friday-Saturday, June 27-28.

Sample of Pacer Camp Activities:

• Campus Life Orientation Skits
• Movie on the Lawn
• Academic Advising
• Resource Fair
• Explore Downtown Raleigh

To help further acclimate you with the University, we have a group of diverse, involved upper-class students known as Orientation Leaders (OLs). At Pacer Camp, OLs will help facilitate community building activities, be able to answer most of your questions about WPU and help you figure out how to become involved in the WPU community. To meet this year's OLs, click here.

Additionally, it's important to know what to pack when coming to Pacer Camp. At WPU, we want to provide the best experience for our future Pacers, as well as their friends and family members. To view a helpful list of Pacer Camp packing items, click here. For parents, we have a list of area hotels and details on specific activities for you all. Just click here to learn more about that.

Not only do we want you to have fun at Pacer Camp, but we want you to be safe too. That's why we require a Health Risk Assessment and Emergency Contact Form to be completed and filled out. Please bring it with you to your session. A University representative will be on hand to collect it.
