William Peace University takes a city of more than 400,000 people and makes it feel like home. With beautiful oak trees and a large front lawn, our historic campus has carved out its own niche in the middle of downtown Raleigh. Students enjoy the benefits of living in a big city while still learning and growing in a tight-knit community.
Our staff works to ensure that the residential living environment doubles as an extended classroom. WPU's diverse student body provides an opportunity to learn about different people, cultures and experience life in a supportive environment.
With more than 30 clubs and organizations students can easily find their voice in our student community. We host student events on and off campus including trips to downtown for First Friday, a two-story slip'n'slide on the front lawn, bon fires, Zombie Tag and a t-shirt swap. Whatever you're interested in you'll find a group of other people who are, too.
William Peace University also offers students the chance to play and enjoy intercollegiate sports. WPU is a member of the U.S.A. South athletic conference of the NCAA Division III and fields teams in seven different sports including men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's golf and women's soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. In the 2013-14 academic year, WPU will also add men's baseball and soccer.
William Peace University wants all its students to be safe and healthy. That's why we have a full-time nurse working in the Health Services office and a college physician who sees students two mornings a week. Students can receive immediate treatment on campus or get referrals to local hospitals.
