William Peace University takes a city of more than 400,000 people and makes it feel like home. With beautiful oak trees and a large front lawn, our historic campus has carved out its own niche in the middle of downtown Raleigh. Students enjoy the benefits of living in a big city while still learning and growing in a tight-knit community.
Our staff works to ensure that the residential living environment doubles as an extended classroom. WPU's diverse student body provides an opportunity to learn about different people, cultures and experience life in a supportive environment.
With more than 30 clubs and organizations students can easily find their voice in our student community. We host student events on and off campus including Waterpalooza, which features a two-story slip'n'slide on the front lawn, late night breakfast where professors serve you, and surprise day trips to New York City and Washington, DC. Whatever you're interested in you'll find a group of other people who are too.
William Peace University also offers students the chance to play and enjoy intercollegiate sports. Whether you want to play intramural basketball or flag football, or play for the school, WPU has it all. The University is a member of the USA South Athletic Conference of the NCAA Division III and fields teams in six different sports including baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's golf , men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis and volleyball.
