Delta Kappa Gamma Provide Scholarship to WPU Students
At William Peace University, we are focused on our students and preparing them for careers in the organizations of tomorrow and through education and the immersive experience we deliver, we believe success can be achieved. That is why we are thrilled to announce that three of our students have received scholarships from NC Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG). This organization is a professional honor society that unites women educators and promotes professional and personal growth in education.
DKG originally planned on a single scholarship, however, after interviewing the three candidates, they were so impressed with the students’ work and dedication to the profession of teaching, decided to recognize them all. The three young ladies who have been selected to receive this award are Zekia Randle, Barbara Bruce and Summer Jacobs. All are pursuing a degree in education with a passion for teaching.
“We continue to be amazed by the accomplishments of our students,” said Dr. Brian Ralph, President of William Peace University. “When students are recognized for their dedication by organizations such as Delta Kappa Gamma, we feel confident that their WPU educational experience is helping them achieve their dreams and career ambitions.”
“This is wonderful news,” added Jennifer Russel, Ed.D., Education Department Chair. We are all so thankful for this partnership with Delta Kappa Gamma.”

Summer Jocobs also emphasizes how grateful she is for this recognition and to be a product of the WPU education program. “This scholarship means a lot to me because it affirms the hard work that I have put in, while in the education department. I am so thankful that Delta Kappa Gamma took interest in me and my classmates. I am so proud of all of our hard work and can’t wait to see all the great things we will accomplish as educators.”
