#PeaceStreetPerspective, Episode 1: A Friday Night in #DTR
A couple of Fridays ago, I took a few of the Musical Theatre freshmen downtown to show them the Raleigh night life! And since most of the bars and restaurants were 21 and over after a certain hour, we decided to explore the street life.
Our first stop was just across the street from Peace at Halifax Mall. It’s a huge field that is great for picnics in the morning, and star gazing at night! Next, we decided to head downtown.
“There were numerous cafes, restaurants, clubs, and live bands still open until midnight.”
As soon as we stepped on Fayetteville Street we saw drummers, rappers, and too many hotdog carts to choose from! Even blocks away from Fayetteville street, on Hargett, there were numerous cafes, restaurants, clubs, and live bands still open until midnight.
We never actually went into any of these places, but just strolling the streets and making our own fun was just as exciting. Plus, it was great exercise for all the Donatos we ate beforehand.
I’ll be bringing you more #PeaceStPerspective blogs and content, so stay tuned. Be sure to check out all the exciting new attractions in downtown Raleigh, too! It’s just a few blocks away from campus!
