Rev. Dr. Christopher Edmonston to Serve as 2017 Baccalaureate Speaker
Rev. Dr. Christopher Edmonston will serve as the University’s Baccalaureate Speaker on Friday, May 5, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, across from the WPU campus. The Baccalaureate Ceremony is an annual tradition at WPU that predates Commencement.
This year’s Baccalaureate speaker, Christopher Edmonston, ministers at White Memorial Presbyterian Church where he has served since 2011. Edmonston was recognized as a William Friday Fellow and is a graduate of Davidson College, Union Presbyterian Seminary (Master of Divinity), and Columbia Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry). He has had an active career within the Presbyterian Church and currently serves on the Montreat Retreat Association Board and has served as the President of the Board of the Presbyterian Outlook.

In addition, Edmonston is a contributor to Feasting on the Gospels and is a former member of the national strategy team and current member of the national advisory team for NEXT Church. He is a frequent contributor to blogs and publications, such as the Presbyterian Outlook and Duke Divinity School’s Faith and Leadership Blog. Edmonston and his wife, Colleen, have three children, Patrick, Gabriel, and Amelia.
