WPU Community Celebrates #MyWPUShowcase 2019

William Peace University recently hosted its 15th annual #MyWPUShowcase, celebrating its largest attendance in event history. This year’s Showcase featured 221 students who presented their work in art, research, internships and contributions to the academic experience of the University through 28 different panels and performances.
Showcase is an annual campus-wide event that highlights the academic work done by students across every major throughout the academic year.
To cap off the event, the Office of Academic Affairs hosted its annual Academic Awards ceremony in Dinwiddie Chapel to recognize outstanding academic achievement by students. Winners were selected by faculty in their respective discipline, recognizing each student’s development and achievement in their time here at WPU. Additionally, students were inducted into several honors societies.
“For each name called today there are, no doubt, countless stories of hard work, of struggle, of passion, of emerging confidence, of great highs and perhaps some challenging lows,” said Brian C. Ralph, Ph.D., President of William Peace University. “The significance, of course, is that today’s award recipients persevered in their pursuits and, in doing so, made Peace a better place.”
