WPU Wins 2017 Telly Award for #PeopleOfPeace Visual Storytelling Campaign
WPU has won another digital marketing accolade – this time, a 2017 Telly Bronze Award for Branded Content & Entertainment in Campaign: Not-for-profit. The award-winning visual storytelling campaign, #PeopleOfPeace, highlights and features WPU employees and their accomplishments both inside and outside of work, detailing stories that sometimes go unnoticed and untold.
The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 to honor excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials. Non-broadcast video and TV program categories were soon added. Today, the Telly is one of the most sought-after awards by industry leaders, from large international firms to local production companies and ad agencies.
On average, The Telly Awards receives over 13,000 entries yearly from all 50 states and five continents.

In February 2017, the University’s Advancement and Communications and Marketing Teams celebrated big wins following the annual Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District III Conference, which was held in Nashville, TN. The awards program included more than 1,000 entries from the 500 CASE member higher education institutions from across the southeast. WPU teams took home a total of four (4) awards, including two Grand Awards in Writing and in Electronic and Digital Media, the top distinction in each category.
The WPU Communications and Marketing Team won the Grand Award for best Mobile Website Application for its work on the redesign of the University’s website, www.peace.edu, which launched in October 2016 and focused heavily on the mobile user experience.
The University’s Advancement Team won the Grand Award in Writing for Fundraising for its entry “Thanksgiving Blessings from Peace’s First Family to Yours.” The mailer piece focused on a further introduction of Dr. Ralph, as well his family, to the WPU community as the University’s 11th president just months before.
