WPU’s RN to BSN Program Earns Official CCNE Accreditation

June 16, 2021

William Peace University (WPU) is pleased to announce that the University’s RN to BSN nursing program has earned accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), paving the way for students receive federal financial assistance along with professional advancement opportunities.

WPU’s RN to BSN program—designed with busy professionals in mind—offers both a fully online model as well as a hybrid option for students who prefer in-person classroom time. In line with all other WPU degrees, the RN to BSN program at Peace allows students to learn from and build relationships directly with talented and caring faculty members in small classes.

The CCNE accreditation comes after a rigorous process including a site visit and review by the Accreditation Review Committee (ARC) and the Board of Commissioners. WPU received official notification of accreditation on June 9, 2021 with an effective date of September 20, 2020.

Officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency, CCNE is an autonomous accrediting agency, contributing to the improvement of the public’s health. CCNE ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency programs in nursing. Accreditation by CCNE is an indication of confidence in the ability of the parent institution to offer a program of quality, deserving of public approbation.

“This designation affirms the caliber of the program. The quality, in addition to the support that students receive while in the program, makes it a great value for nurses who want to continue their education by obtaining their baccalaureate degree,” said Dr. Erica Jastrow, RN to BSN program director.

CCNE accreditation also allows WPU to form additional partnerships with area hospitals to reduce tuition costs for students. To learn more about the program, click here.
