Director of Communications & Donor Relations

Elizabeth Edwards has served William Peace University as the Director of Communications & Donor Relations since May of 2019. Born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, she moved to the Triangle in 2004 to attend William Peace University, formerly Peace College, where she graduated in 2007 with a bachelor of arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

Elizabeth brings more than 14 years of experience creating, editing, and managing communications in a variety of sectors including higher education, nonprofits, and state government. She previously served in roles within the North Carolina Department of Commerce’s Tourism, Film & Sports Development, Marketing & Customer Services Divisions, the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, and Campbell University. Elizabeth’s most recent professional and volunteer work has allowed her the opportunity to build and enhance strategic communications targeting alumni, donors, students, families, and community partners.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family, supporting local businesses, and volunteering within her local and church community.
