Kathy Lambert provides strategic leadership and programmatic expertise for the Human Resources (HR) efforts at WPU. This includes the areas of organizational design, classification, recruitment, staffing, compensation, benefits, professional development and training, employee engagement and retention, and employee relations. Kathy has over 40 years of professional experience in corporate, public university, and private university human resources.
Prior to joining the university, Kathy served as the Senior Director for Human Resources at NC State University for over 36 years. After her retirement from the state of NC, she joined WPU in her current role.
Kathy is a proud alumna of William Peace University (then Peace College) and has a Bachelor’s degree from NC State University in Management and Human Relations with a minor in African American Studies. Kathy also received professional association certifications in public management, human resources, and compensation.
