Dr. Meyer grew up in the Raleigh area spending most of his time either playing basketball or fishing. In fact, he loved it so much he made a career out of it (the fishing part anyway). He really enjoys taking students out in nature and showing them wildlife they may have never seen before. He says teaching at WPU is wonderful because he can help students achieve their lifetime goals and careers in the biological sciences. His favorite Raleigh restaurant is the world-famous “Pit Authentic Barbecue.”
