Record Number of WPU Student-Athletes Earn USA South Academic All-Conference Honors

Jun 8, 2016

William Peace University is proud to announce a record number of its student-athletes have been selected to the USA South Athletic Conference 2015-2016 Academic All-Conference Team. Overall, 69 student-athletes from WPU were awarded the honor. To qualify, WPU student-athletes had to achieve at least a 3.0 GPA in both the fall and spring semesters and competed on a varsity team.

“We’re very proud of our student-athletes and the success they achieve both in and out of the classroom.”“We’re very proud of our student-athletes and the success they achieve both in and out of the classroom,” said Dr. Brian C. Ralph, President of William Peace University. “Our student-athletes are among the best performers academically we have on campus. This is a great honor and achievement for them, and for us as an institution, to celebrate.”

The Pacers had 65 student-athletes selected to the team in 2015. Each year, WPU Athletics has seen an increase in honorees in each of the first four seasons since making the transition to a coeducational institution in 2012. This season, a record 1,471 student-athletes from across the USA South earned Academic All-Conference honors. Click HERE to view the complete USA South Academic All-Conference Team.
