Page Intro

Description

Landing pages need Page Intros in order to provide an introduction to the section as well as links to the key pages within the section. Page Intros can should have a strong headline and introductory paragraph and can contain video or images in the right column.

How-To

  1. Add a new Row
  2. Click the pencil icon on the row to open Row Settings
  3. Click the gear icon to open the Settings menu and select the Page Intro option
  4. On the left side of the toolbar for the row, click the columns icon and change the column layout to two even columns
  5. In the left column, click the + sign and add a new Text Block component
    1. Type Headline text, highlight the text, then select the “headline” format from the Formats menu
    2. Type the description text
    3. Underneath the description, type the text In This Section, highlight the text, then select the “section-nav-title” format from the Formats menu
    4. Underneath the In This Section title, create a new unordered bulleted list of links. Click anywhere on the list and select both the “ul.link-list” and “ul.link-list.two-columns” formats from the Formats menu. Only links that fall under this section should be included in this list. There should not be any links to external sites or PDFs, only links to top level pages within the section. For usability purposes, the pages listed here should match the menu navigation. They should be worded exactly the same, in the same order, and link to the same pages.
  6. In the right column, you can include either a video or image and a caption.
    • Image + Caption
      1. Click the + sign and add a new Text Block component
      2. Click the Add Media button at the top of the editor to find/upload an image
      3. Underneath the image, type the caption, then highlight the text and select the “caption” format from the Formats menu
    • Video + Caption

      2. In the Video Player component, paste the link to the YouTube video then click Save changes
      3. Underneath the Video Player component, click the + sign to add a new Text Block component
      4. In the Text Block component, type the caption then highlight the text and select the “caption” format from the Formats menu
