The Importance of Mental Health Awareness

Now, more than ever, it is important to be mindful of our mental wellness. WPU cares about you, so we are sharing tools and resources that may be helpful to cope and thrive during times of uncertainty.  The following tips are from Mental Health America.

We are all in this together.

  • Online screening is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition. Don’t want to talk to one of our WPU counselors? Try this anonymous mental health screening.
  • Call 988 – The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides 24/7, free, confidential support for people in distress and prevention and crisis resources for you and your loved ones. The number is 988 or you can call 1-800-273-8255.
  • That discomfort you’re feeling is grief. Read this article from the Harvard Business Review.
  • Find more resources from the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
